Not Quite Ready Yet…

It’s supposed to be May Day, but this little lily of the valley in my yard’s not quite up to it yet. The stormy weather and cold showers didn’t help much to encourage the blossom and my hand’s trembling in the chilly winds trying to photograph it…

On the hand, there is quite a proliferation of three-angled garlic (Fr. ail à trois angles) in the vicinity. So I thought I will settle for a picture of Allium Triquetrum to mark the arrival of summer. As they say in France – ‘En mai, fais ce qui te plaît !’ which literally means ‘In May, do whatever pleases you’.

  1. Beautiful images, Fluffy. I might mistake these as my images. We are likely to be using similar camera settings; probably a similar lens, too. 🙂

    1. Thanks Mike. I’m honoured with such compliments 🙂 They were taken with a Panasonic GF2 + Tamron 90mm f/2.5 SP manual focus macro lens /w micro-4/3 adaptor. What do you take yours with?

      1. I take my macro images with a Canon 500D camera and a permanently fitted Canon 60mm f2.8 macro lens. For my animal images I use a Canon 7D camera and a permanently fitted 150 – 500mm f5 – 6.3 Sigma lens. So our equipment is totally different, but it doesn’t matter because you take excellent images.
